Student Voice - Ngai Po Shan Rosanne

Hi I am Rosanne. After completing a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, I start my journey as a hospital administrator in Hospital Authority and responsible for managing various administration aspects to ensure the smooth delivery of medical services. Working day and night in a public hospital, I have observed the continuous improvement of hospital services and become aware of the increasing demands and challenges in the healthcare industry, especially the increasing burden brought by issues such as population aging. I decided to pursuing the MPH program to empower me to make meaningful contributions to the healthcare system.

I'm grateful to be granted by the UGC Targeted TPg Fellowships, which has given me the chance to pursue further studies in the field of health management. My concentration is HEPM, one of the highlights of this programme has been the meaningful discussion with my classmates, who come from diverse backgrounds. It's been incredibly rewarding to learn from their different perspectives and experiences.

My goal is to use the knowledge and skills I've gained to make a positive impact on health services. As Forrest Gump said, "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get." In the healthcare sector, each opportunity and challenge are like a unique chocolate, bringing forth something unknown and full of possibilities. With the inspiration I've gained from the program, I am eager to embrace them with enthusiasm and dedication.
