The Professional Development Hub hosts regular Coffee and Career talks. On May 21, 2024, Dr Alice Abou-Nader, Senior Country Manager for the Middle-Income Countries (MICS) Approach at GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance, engaged in an interactive discussion with students, graduates, staff and members of the general public. The event attracted a diverse audience, both in-person and online, with over 20 attendees.
During the session, Dr Abou-Nader shared her personal career journey in the field of public and global health. She provided valuable insights into her experience working with GAVI and offered guidance on career development in public health.
The event concluded with a thought-provoking Q&A session, moderated by Dr Polly Wong, Senior Lecturer, School of Public Health. Participants left with plenty of food for thought, gaining valuable knowledge and inspiration from the event.
