The practicum was a special component of the MPH curriculum, where I could learn, serve and apply theories to practice. I worked as a programme assistant and there were four main roles in my practicum: research, nutritional knowledge support, outreach health programmes and WHO Collaborating Centre development planning. I truly acknowledged the importance of teamwork when it comes to a real workplace in public health. This practicum experience has also inspired me with possibilities of caring people’s health at levels ranging from individuals, communities to policies. It indeed has widened my scope of interest regarding my future endeavour.
